About the Trail
The Buckeye Trail is a whopping 1, 444 miles long, winding all the way around the state of Ohio within the state's border. The BT was envisioned in the late 1950s. Headlands Beach State Park is the northern trail head of the BT. The southern trail head is Eden Park in Cincinnati. This trail can be considered never ending because no matter where you go on the trail, it still connects to the rest of the trail. It's a large circular trail, so you're allowed to start anywhere and continue for as long as you'd like.
Who and Why?
I'm a senior in high school with a passion for computers and technology. So when I found out that, for my English class, we had to make a wellness program to convince and help others virtually hike different trails, I thought creating a website that others could use to help track their trek was a great idea!
